Digi’s XBee-PRO DigiMesh 2.4 range extender is used to create or expand a wireless DigiMesh network. This easy-to-use network extender acts as a routing node, providing users with expanded network range and adding redundancy to a mesh network.
DigiMesh is an innovative, peer-to-peer networking protocol that increases stability by forming self-healing, self-discovering mesh networks. DigiMesh features dense network operation and support for sleeping routers, extending the operational life of battery dependent networks.
The XBee-PRO DigiMesh 2.4 range extender enables seamless communication between other DigiMesh 2.4 based devices, such as ConnectPort® X gateways, XBee® adapters, XBee and XBee-PRO wireless modules. By using the iDigi™ Cloud, users can securely access and manage devices in their DigiMesh network from anywhere in the world.
